Transfer mp3's to memory card via iTunes

So, many of you may have used iTunes and love it's interface, like me. When I had to go through my HUGE library of songs and pick them out one by one, drag and drop them to my memory card or sync through bitpim, or *gasp* lose quality through WMP in transferring them that way, I was a little perturbed.

Well, I went online and found something called iTunes Agent. Basically you can turn anything that is a "removable device" under my computer into something iTunes recognizes and you can sync. I have a usb->sd memory card reader and put my micro-sd card into the supplied adapter and transfer songs that way, then just put the card into my phone. It's pretty cool but you'll need a few things first:

1. iTunes

2. a memory card that you can attach to your computer so it's visible as a "removable device"

3. .NET framework from microsoft. here:
microsoft.com/downloads/thankyou.aspx?familyId=10cc340b-f857-4a14-83f5-25634c3bf043&displayLang=en

and if that doesn't work click 'download' here:
microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=10CC340B-F857-4A14-83F5-25634C3BF043&displaylang=en

Really, you only need .NET 2.0, but might as well have the latest. I'm not sure if 3.0 doesn't work with it correctly so if you encounter any issues, just revert back to 2.0.

4. iTunes agent. you can download that here: sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?groupname=ita&filename=ita-1.1.exe&use_mirror=easynews

So, after you've done all this, you'll need to set up your "removable device" in iTunes agent so that it recognizes in iTunes. It's pretty simple and most people with any computer knowledge will be able to do it. If not, try and read the how-to stuff on the iTunes agent website.

PS. I'm not a mac lover, or ipod lover, i just prefer iTunes over any other music program and the fact that I can drag a playlist i made onto my memory card, click sync, and it does it all for me, is pretty darn awesome.
