LG VX8600 problems

well i am having a lot of problems with my new phone, its only like 6 months old and my battery i think i need a new one, if i make 2 calls it says my battery has 2 bars and before i made the calls it had full battery, but if i take the battery out and put it back in it says i have 3 bars,

dose any one know if a computer can make my phone drop calls? if i am sitting at my computer desk and make a phone call from my phone it says "call was lost" that happened like 5 times, and then last night i was like 10 feet away from my computer and it said "lost Call" i was about ready to drop my phone or smash it

Re: LG VX8600 problems

I think you are in a dead zone in your house. (where the signal is the weakest)

I am guessing that this doesn't happen in any other part of your house or area?

As for the battery, have you used the battery till it was completely dead and then recharged it till it's full?

My daughter had a problem with her phone simular to yours and it was because she would only partially charge the battery every night whether it needed to be charged or not....and then she never let the battery fully charge.

If you do drain the battery down, and then fully recharge it, and you are still have the problem, I would take it back to Verizon and have them check it out.

Re: LG VX8600 problems

Okay, so I have the same phone and the same problems.
I now know for a fact that it is not the battery because I just got a brand new battery in the mail and it did not work.
I charge my phone all night long every night, and if I don't use it once, at all, the battery will last for approximately 8 hours, when my dad's will last for 2 weeks.
My sister has the same phone and she is having the same problems.
I also get the dropped calls, and have no idea what causes that...

Re: LG VX8600 problems

Although I don't have personal experience with this phone, here are some tips for extending your battery life. Lithium Ion batteries need an initial charge of 8-12 hours. When you charge your phone thereafter, Li-Ion batteries prefer frequent partial discharges rather than letting them run all the way down and then charging them all the way back up again. Also, if you are not happy with your talk time and standby time, you may want to try and get an extended life battery.
