So I have a vx8700, I bought a 2gb microsd card for it and I want to transfer some mp3's from my computer to my phone, and I also would like to use some of the same mp3's as ringtones.

So my question is, can I just stick my sd card into a card reader and put the music onto the card and be good? Or do I have to have a data cable to transfer the music to the phone.

I either have to buy a card reader or a data cable and they both will cost me about the same, im just not sure which I need to get the mp3's to work as a ringtone.

well if you happen to have a computer that has bluetooth then you could just use bitpim to transfer without either. but if you don't then i would get a card reader & just stick them on the card. that would by far be the easiest.

If your computer has a card reader then you could just insert your memory card into that to create files in which to store your music on...If not then you will need to purchase a data cable.
