    I just got my LG 8700 yesterday with verizon. I have 2 questions....How do I set up speed dial for 911, and is there a way to keep the backlight on the time (cover) when phone is closed?

    Do you really need 911 on speed dial? I wouldn't want to accidentally call.

    Backlight is menu > phone settings > backlight
