LG VIEWTY Questions

Im on the edge of buying this phone (VIEWTY) on Three. My Ideal phone would be the N95 8Gb but it looks like Vodaphone UK have that tied down pretty comprehensively for the near future.

In addition Three representatives refuse to discuss when the N95 8Gb might appear.......

Basically, i need to know the following.....

1) - What Headphone Socket is used on the Viewty? 3.5mm, 2.5mm or is it proprietry?

2) - Can you use MSN Live Messenger on the phone?

Having read all the reviews (GSM Arena's is best) the phone is certainly impressive, but i need to know i can use my decent headphones with it, and i need to know i can stay connected through Live Messenger !!
