Java with LG trax?

If I'm putting JAVA programs on my LG trax, what file format does it need to be? I tried .jar, but when I transferred it to my phone via bluetooth, it placed it in the "other files" category and wouldn't open.

Argh, okay, I figured out the problem. So, my new question is:
How do I get my Trax to be JSR-82 compatible?
