some phones block bigger files so that you can't play them as ringtones. On my phone I cut the mp3 files into 30 second clips.

#7 | | Newbie | I have a Venus, and the fastest way I've found to get ringtones is to email them to your cell phone as an attachment. Assuming you have Verizon (I don't think the phone is available with anyone else) send an email to your ten digit number ATvzwpixDOTcom (example, if your number is (640)123-4567, then your phone's email address is 6401234567ATvzwpixDOTcom). It works for pictures too, if you want to send a pic to your phone to use as a background image. | | Did you find this post helpful?

#14 | | Newbie | I know this is an old thread, but I just recently got the Venus after having issues with the Dare and having to replace it about 4 or 5 times. But I was having issues too, but then used the CD that came with the phone and downloaded the Rhapsody (which is free unless you are using it as a media player, but it makes transfering music and pictures eaiser), but other suggestions listed here help too. there are plenty of things that you can do. if you have internet web sites that send sounds/ringtones/pictures to your phone via text are easy.
If you have a card and a card reader you can just copy music and or ringtones from your computer right onto the card. When you do it this way (with Verizon at least) you have to send the SOUND via text message to yourself and save it as a RINGTONE or you cannot use it as a ringtone.
Hope it helps! | | Did you find this post helpful?
