Does anyone know if it is safe to edit the t9word database with BitPim on the Vx 8700? I tried to last summer with version 1.0.2 and it broke the t9 so much that it wouldn't remember anything at all. Does anybody know if the problem is resolved with the new BitPim version? I'd like to clean up my t9 database but I'd hate to mess up my database again. Last time I had to get the phone replaced. Does anyone know?
before attempting to try anything you not familiar with, I strongly suggest that you backup whatever it is your messing with. This way, if you do mess something up, you can always restore the original.

How would I go about backing up the t9 database? It's not really accessible to manipulation and I don't know enough programming to figure out how the bitpim developers managed to edit it as a separate object from the rest of the phone OS.
What's the best way to do that? Go to it's directory via my computer and copy paste all the files to a folder on my HD? Retrieve all phone data via BitPim? Some other application that I don't know about?
