    Hello everyone...

My first post here... I hope you can offer some insight and/or help..

My wife has an LG8300..... She has a SanDisk 1 gig card in it as well...

Last night she sent me a pic message and I didn't know what the heck was going on cause when I got it it was just an all white screen with her text...

Apparently, after that her cell phone started acting really weird.. Turning on and off, on and off, on and off, on and off...... That was it... Nothing else..

Took it to one of the teenage brainiacs at the kisok and all he did was pull the battery off...... Which I had already tried...... Numerous times.... To no avail of course....

Well, tonight, my wife was messing with the phone.. Pulled the little gig card in it OUT and the phone turned on and stayed on.. In a panic she said JUST GET MY PICS!!!!! so I hook the phone up via bitpim and pulled off the pics on the phone....

She didn't see some that she really wanted so I said maybe they're on the card.... I popped the card in my little F drive deal with it's adapter and the files are in crazy, like, wingding type fonts.. I'm seeing files on a 1 GIG card that say they are 293 GB in size..... There are 3 my_music folders in there..

No real file extensions.. most are named with some crazy wingding font and the file extension night actually show a . then three or four boxes...

I can't copy, I can't rename, I can't do anything with anything on the card... I ran a virus scan over the containing drive and it comes back clean.. I know that might not mean anything but at least it's not screwing up my PC.... Yet anyway...

Are the files infected??? Is it some kind of text formatting snafu...?

I feel like all of these are actually pictures but somehow they have been screwed up by the system and thats why there are funky names, extensions and sizes to each file.

    Sure would like some help....

    Is there any hope?

    Thanks in advance..

    Peace

have you tried putting the card back into the phone to see if the same thing happens?

and if you cant save the pictures you could try formatting the card which might save it at least.
