LG shine slider

Hi, I saw the LG shine slider on an ad and I was thinking of getting it, because my old phone - Motorola Razor just broke down.

I was searching for answers to a couple of questions that I couldn't find.

1) Why are there two types of these? One with the scroll wheel and one with the joy stick? I prefer the one w/ the scroll wheel, but can't find it anywhere I live (Ontario Canada)

2) Can I use MP3's as a ringtone? I saw CellBoy's MP3 Ringers thread and was wondering if that worked/was the only way.

3)Just overall, is this phone good?

Not syncing with outlook is its biggest problem. I didn't see CellBoys' thread but you can add ringtones to the shine using Bitpim as well.

I have the Shine and so far it is a good phone. The menu is very basic though, I expected newer features with such a new phone. The only problem it has is occasionally turning itself off, full battery and all. That is a known issue with some of them though. Mine does have the joystick, that is what was released in America. The other one was in Europe and whatnot before, so I'm not sure what you would get in Canada.
