help with lg KE500

hi i have a problem with my daughters phone the lg KE500 i turn it on and the lg logo apears so i know the screen works, then keypad lights up and then nothing??? any help, the keys dont do anything and it seams to just hang there with the logo on the screen and the lights on the keypad lit any help please
