LG CU 720 Shine Help PLz

Hi, I've had this phone for almost a month now and I love it. But last week There appeared a new icon in the top left corner. It looks like an audio cassette tape which is not the icon for text or voicemail. Of which I have no voicemail at all and no text messages at all. PLZ help I want to get rid of it.

Also, my screen has a single scratch down the center, is there any buffer or wax I could use to fix it? I tried toothpaste to no avail, and I've heard good things from BRASSO but have yet to try it.

The blue cassette icon is in fact the icon for voice mail. the envelope with the cassette icon is a sms+vmg alert. Have you tried checking your voicemail since the icon appeared? Whether you have or haven't, just call your voicemail, listen to whatever is there (even if there is nothing) and then reboot your phone. That should get rid of the icon.

Issue #1 After listeng to VM, press the #7 key. This will delete the VM and reset the icon.

Issuse #2 I'd stay away from any harsh chemical cleaners (BRASSO). Try this. CLEAR nail polish. Put on with the brush lined up in the scratch. Think of "cutting in" when you paint a wall's corners. This will hide the scratch.
