Problem with my env2...


I got an LG Env2 VX9100 in maroon last week, and I'm VERY happy with it... The only problem i have is that you cannot buy ringback tones, games, wallpapers, etc... from the phone itself. You can buy these things online on My Verizon, but it still seems as if there is a LOT of features still not available to the Env2.

If you don't really understand what I'm talking about, this is how it goes for me... I open up the phone, go to media center, then go to "get new ringtones." I click on "Get New Applications" and it will say 'connecting' for a second or two, but then it reads "unable to verify your account information. Please call Customer Service." And this does not only happen in media center; mobile internet does not work nor does mobile email. It seems as if verizon has not 'updated' the env2 to where it is up to par with other phones in connecting to other places and downloading mobily.

Is this because the phone is fairly new? And does anyone know when or if the env2 will be able to download things directly from the phone?

Any and all help is appreciated!

Sounds like buying stuff from get it now is restricted. Call customer service.

If there was a problem, it must be fixed now. Just got my env2 and have been able to do all that stuff.

Is your account setup for the Vcast access?

It works for me...I bought a game yesterday. Did you do the *228 update when you first turned on your activated phone? If that doesn't work, call Verizon.
