I just bought a LG AX145 backup phone. The battery charger cable plugs in at the bottom of the phone after removing a black rubber plug - the plug simply pops out with no hinge or other connection to the phone - so it will be very easy to misplace or forget to plug back in.

The manual says to always put the plug back in so the battery port contacts don't accidentally get shorted by things in your purse or pocket (keys, coins, etc)

I know that little plug is going to get lost pretty quick! Is there really a chance that something could short the contacts up inside the plug port?

Thanks
