Phone = new LG Renoir

I'm trying to connect to the wireless network at work. The phone locates the network and it should then receive a certificate that allows me to login with my work user name and password. However it doesn't, it comes up with the page where I have to type in the security key to access the server directly. I shouldn't have to access the server directly, I should be able to identify myself via my login so I can be recognised as someone who can access the server. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to get around it? A few people have tried for me and think its a hardware problem with the phone.
