LG Swift sd card question

I had an Lg phone and just got a new lg swift one. I had photos saved on my sd card and when I put the sd card into the new swift phone, they don't show up. The phone "sees" the card (it says sd on the front of phone) and I checked the memory on the sd card and it shows space has been used (from my photos). Does anyone know why my pictures won't show up? Thank you for helping.
