How do I keep my LG Rhythm unlocked while closed

Hi. I have a Lg Thythm AX585 and am very frustrated! I want to listen to my music while I have the phone closed but after a few minutes goes by my phone locks and I have to press the unlock button on the side to unlock it before I can change my song or answer a call or anything. Is there a way to keep my phone from locking in the closed position? Nobody seems to be able to help me. This is beyond annoying! Thank you for any help you may give.

I would check the settings... my phone has an option that disables the phone lock feature. Good luck!

Thank you Invisableone. I tried that but the lock feature in my settings only prevents the dial locking to be disabled so that I don't need a PIN to make a call. The lock feature I'm having issues with is the one that locks the phone when it's closed so nothing can be used while the phone is slid closed and doesn't seem to be used with the calling lock feature. Sorry... it's hard to explain. Thanks for your reply!

why would you want to?

I would like to be able to so that while I'm working out and listening to my music I can change the song by a push of button rather than having to unlock the phone or slide open the phone first before being allowed to change the song or even my volume.

I'll move this to the LG forum for better exposure.
