Lg gd900 contacts

hey guys
im in melbourne aus, and ive just bought the crystal GD900... my contacts are all saved to the handset now numbers starting with 04....., however whenever i recieve a text, the phone is not registering the contact as the number is coming up with the +614.... code. can anyone help? im so confused

Is the phone from Aus as well? If not, it may be a firmware problem or initial programming.
The firmware will register the phone to the countries networks and calling country codes.
