LG GC900 - Can i turn off Wap/Internet?

Hey guys,
I just recieved my new phone last night,
it is on contract. But has no free internet.
So, in other words, i shall not be using the internet what so ever.
However,
Im worried that while the phone is in my pocket, it will manage to unlock, and open the internet - costing me moneys.
Is there anyway, i can make it so even if it got to the stage of opening internet, it would do nothing at all? So i've got nothing to worry about?

Oh, and is there any way i can make it so i have to hold the "unlock" screen longer? Or disable the unlock button at the top?
