Old LG phone Users... A little help

Hey guys im new to the forums, i have a question about something i've been looking for, for the longest. I used to have an old LG phone about 4 or more years ago and it had this really neat thing on it were whenever i made a call instead of hearing it ring you would be able to listen to the enviroment of the other person youre calling before they even pick up. I have been researching this for a while and havent been able to find anything about it. I was wondering if any of you had heard about this and if theres a certain name to this "glitch"? I want to call it, or if it was just something that was wrong with my phone were this was happening? I appreciate any help Thanks

Do you remember the model of your LG phone? I had an LG VX-8600, but don't remember any feature like the one you have described . If you get the model #, you may be able to go to LG's website and research it there.

Thanks, Yea i think the model of my phone was an SGH-X495 if im not mistaken.
