Messenger Issues, Very Frustrating

Hi everyone, I have the LG Xenon and am severly annoyed with it. I use Yahoo messenger and Windows messenger through the IM shortcut so they're the preloaded programs. Anywho, no matter what I do I've tried restarting the phone, signing in and out of the programs etc. I relentlessly encounter the annoying "System Msg : Unable to send" or your request could not be processed, and it will give me that message over and over until it decides to send it. It rarely ever sends a message without issue. I also recieve messages late and have them delivered late when the phone actually lets me send it. None of my friends with different phones have this problem with their messengers that came on their phone (MSN and Yahoo Messenger), even when we are talking to eachother the problem is only on my side so it is clearly my phone. However, actual text messages and picture messages I have absolutely no issues with. SO, what gives? I don't know what the heck to do and frankly I've come close to smashing the phone a few times because I would be engaged in an important conversation, but that $300 price tag saves it. Also if anyone was going to suggest I just use normal text messages instead: i can not. Messengers are the only way I can text my gf in Canada without being charged international prices.
