ringtones for LG Remarq

I am wondering if anyone has figured out a way to use homemade ringtones on this phone. I figured it out on the Lotus that I had before but the file doesn't work on the Remarq. You can play them as an Mp3 file but there is no way to assign them. I know how to make the ring tones I just don't know what extension to use or what file to put them in on the phone so they can be assigned. Anyone have any info on this?

Did anyone ever say what format the ringtone file for the Remarq had to be in? I have several rings on a Rumor Touch and they won't work on the Remarq. Nor will the mp3. No text or web enabled on the phone, so not sure how to transfer.
