The Tegra powered LG Star is back in the news again with more confirmations. Apparently, the Star was supposed to ship with a Gingerbread update, but now reports reveal that it would ship with Froyo. Though some believe that by the time it launches, Gingerbread would be the actual update.

The phone is known as the LG P990 Star. It runs a custom UI along with the Android 2.1 update. The handset sports an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, no confirmation is available yet on the 1080p(Full HD) video recording feature. And yes, it comes with an HDMI port, so that is a welcome sign.
