LG GW525 Display Frozen - Please Help

Hello,

My LG GW525 is stucked at main screen everytime after power on. All buttons and keys will not work at that point. My SIM card works fine on other phones and same problem remains if I put in other known working SIM cards. So I think my phone has a problem.

My phone has no water damage (white dots still there) and has never been dropped. How can I fix this problem myself? Appreciate any help anyone can provide!!!!

Hey JS8,
I've had similar problems with my LG Chocolate years ago.
What I would do is take out the battery and let it sit for about 5 minutes & it would work.
This is only a temporary solution though.
I eventually had to get a new phone because the intervals of the freezing would increase & freezing would occur way too often.
It might be because of over charging or the phone is defected.
Try calling LG to see if your phone is under warranty.

Thanks for your reply.

I was able to reboot the phone by remoivg the battery in the first few weeks when I started having the problem. But gradually it became worse and now it stucks at the main screen everytime it powers on. No buttons and keys would work.

LG would not fix it since it's just out of the one-year warranty.
