My daughter bought an LG 260 on EBAY and was told it was for NTELOS. She tried to get it activated and they told her it was a Verizon phone. I took it to the Verizon store and they said it is not theirs. How can I figure out who the carrier is?

The *#06# command does not produce an IMEI.

    The Phone Settings gives me:
    MEID: 268435457510939880
    ESN: 80A23D03
Serving System: CH 425 SID: 170.

    Thanks!

    Re: Which Carrier??

The LG 260 is basically an LG Rumor (LX260) and it should work on Sprint. However, it is up to sprint whether they activate it on their network or not. There are probably software differences between the original carrier and Sprint. This means that Sprint will probably have to flash it with their software, which they may not be willing to do. You'll have to take it to a actual sprint store that does repairs and service on phones (not a reseller).
