How-to: AT&T LG Phoenix flashing screen?

Hello, I bought the LG Phoenix about 3 weeks ago from a friend and it has worked great up until 4 days ago.

My battery had drained so I put it to charge for about 20 minutes. When I came back to check on my phone, the screen would go dark and then it would switch to a sort of static, white screen and then go dark again. It has been blinking on and off for the past 4 days. (I don't have a warranty for it)

Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks to any help (:
