I need to upgrade my phone, I have two pay as you go phones, with Alltel. They are the only carrier that works in SW Georgia worth a damm. I really like the LG Tritan AX840, but do not want to pay $335 new and I don't want a used one so I'm looking for an alternative phone and could really use some help, I'm going crazy looking at cell phones. Thanks for any help anyone could give me.

Did Alltel really try to sell you a 3 year old feature phone for $335? That's a little crazy. I don't think you can get the Tritan new anymore unless it is old stock or refurbished. You can get a pretty nice used one for $50.

You could try looking at the LG Exchange (Beacon), which is newer, but smaller and almost has the same specs as the Tritan. I'm actually surprised that it is a downgrade from the Tritan while being newer though. The camera is 1.3mp and the screen is smaller.

I appreciate the responses, I have looked at the LG Exchange, unfortunately not truly impressed, especially with the camera not to mention the reviews on it aren't really that inspiring either, When it comes to the LG P500, my wife really prefers the slider Qwerty phones for texting. Thanks for your responses and your time. I will continue to look for a few more days..
