    i want my verizon number to be switched onto my new u.s cellular freedom phone but i guess i will need to unlock the phone first so does anyone know the code or how i would do that? thanks i would appreciate any help

    Porting a number has nothing to do with unlocking a phone. When you signed up with US Cellular you should have requested to use your old number. Assuming your Verizon account was finalized you should be able to port it. Give US Cellular a call and see if they can still change it.
