LG VS840 (Lucid) screen replacement

Well two actually. 1. I have a broken screen and I need info. The model number is lg-vs840pp which is a pre paid phone. I looked on ebay and found a replacement screen for an lg-vs840 which I assume is the phone only not a pre paid. Will these two screens interchange? I tried to talk to an LG rep but he kept telling me to send it in and wouldn't give me an answer to my question.

Also when I first got this phone five weeks ago it had the VZ navigator installed. Somewhere along the way it disappeared. I didn't delete it so it has to be there somewhere. How do I set the defaults? Thanks for your time and help.

It's the LG Lucid, right? If so the replacement screen should work. Is your screen completely dead? If so, make sure you're getting the digitizer and not just the glass. If it's just cracked you may only need the glass.

It's weird for a bloatware app to just disappear. It's not listed in the apps menu? You can do a factory reset, but you will lose all of your apps and other data unless you use a backup app to back things up first. If your pics/video are on the SD card then make sure you don't erase the sd card (or just take it out when you do a reset).

Instead of going through all that I would just use Google Maps/Navigation.

Well the screen still works it's just cracked pretty good. Yes it's basically a Lucid only a 3g instead of 4 g and it's a pre paid. The vz is not in the apps list any longer . Where can I get the glass and instructions on how to replace it? Thanks again.

Okay so I got the part in and watched the vid that you gave me. I got it fixed!! Thanx to you tavenger5 . FWIW , the screen for the Lucid and for the Exceed pre paid are interchangeable. Thx again.
