LG G2: Battery life is bad - terrible even. How to make it better?

I just got a G2 and unfortunately I'm having a lot of trouble getting through the day on a single charge. I've turned off everything I don't need including wi-fi when I'm not using it, gps, and bluetooth. I've only installed about 10 apps, including facebook and instagram.

Has anyone else had this problem with the battery being horrible?

It sounds like something you downloaded is keeping the phone from going to sleep. This is called "Wake Lock". Try downloading a wake lock program/power manager program to see what is going on. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...detector&hl=en

Also, if your phone is constantly searching for 4g or wi-fi signal that can drastically drain the battery. You may always want to try turning off or down haptic feedback for the keyboard.
