Assuming that you're getting the "Unable to translate" error when using the Quick Translator tool on the LG G2, then understanding how the app works will help you fix the issue.

Quick Translator requires you to have an active Internet connection in order for it to work. Optionally, you can download only one dictionary for free, which will work in offline mode. If these prerequisites are not met, then you will receive the "Unable to translate" error message.

Fixing the issue by enabling data or connecting to Wi-Fi network:

  1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Tap the "Mobile data" option to enable it. Otherwise, enable "Wi-Fi" and connect to a network

NOTE: if no Internet connection is found, you will get the following error message: "This mode is available only online. Please check your network"

To fix the issue by downloading your free dictionary:

  1. Open the "Apps" drawer
  2. Launch "Quick Translator"
  3. When prompted, select and download your free dictionary
  4. Press the "Menu" button to view additional options

NOTE: only the first dictionary is free. The rest you will need to buy, so pick wisely.
