Clear App Cache and / or Data:

NOTE: If one of your third party applications doesn't work properly then you might be able to fix this behavior by clearing the app's cache. You can also clear the app's data but WARNING! Doing so will result in the deletion of all personal data stored within the app, including credit card information, profiles, saved games, settings etc.

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings" > "General"
  3. Under "Phone Management" tap "Apps"
  4. Swipe to "All" and select the desired application
  5. Tap "Clear cache"
  6. If clearing the cache didn't help, tap "Clear data" > "OK"

Clear the Phone's Cache Partition:

NOTE: In case your phone crashes, freezes, or otherwise doesn't work as it should, you might be able to fix this unwanted behavior by clearing the cache partition. This can have a similar effect as a master reset, without losing the personal data on the internal memory. To wipe the cache partition:

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Under the "General" tab tap "Storage"
  4. After the menu finishes calculating, tap "Cached data" > "OK". (NOTE: the process may take several minutes to complete, depending on the amount of cached data)
  5. After the cache is wiped, no data should be listed

NOTE: If clearing the phone's cache partition did not solve the issues on your phone, you may want to try and master reset it. Follow this link for a full guide on how you can factory reset the LG G Stylo.

Enter Safe Mode and Remove Apps:

NOTE: If you're having issues with a third party app that prevents you from removing it, you can try and dispose of it by first rebooting your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode all third party apps are disabled so you should be able to remove any of them without difficulties.

  1. Turn off and reboot your phone
  2. At the "LG" logo, press and hold the "Volume Down" until the smartphone finishes rebooting
  3. You should see a "Safe mode" label in the lower-left corner of the home screen
  4. From here, to uninstall an app, tap "Apps" and go to "Settings"
  5. Then scroll to "Device" and tap "Apps"
  6. Swipe to the "Downloaded" screen
  7. Select the desired application
  8. Tap "Uninstall" > "OK"
  9. To exit safe mode, press and hold "Power", then select "Power off and restart"
