Clear an Application’s Cache / Data:

NOTE: In case one (or more) of your third party apps doesn’t work as intended, you might be able to fix this behavior by clearing the app’s cache / data.

WARNING! Clearing an app’s data will result in the deletion of personal information stored within the app, including saved games, profiles, credit card information, high scores etc. As such, to avoid losing personal data it’s recommended that you first try solving these issues by clearing the app’s cache.

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings” > “General” tab
  3. Under “Phone Management” tap “Apps
  4. Swipe to “All” and select the app you need to fix
  5. Tap “Clear cache
  6. If the app still causes problems, tap “Clear data” > “OK

Clear the Phone’s Cache Partition:

NOTE: Much like clearing an app’s cache, you can also clear the phone’s cache partition if you experience issues with your device. This is an alternative to factory resetting the phone, and can solve numerous issues without having to delete all the personal data stored on the internal memory.

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings” and access the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Storage
  4. Once the phone calculates the data, tap “Cached data” > “OK
  5. Wait for the phone to clear the cache. Depending on the amount of cached data, this process can take several minutes to complete

NOTE: If clearing the phone’s cache partition did not help, you can try factory reset your device instead. Follow this link for a full guide on how to master reset the LG Leon.
