Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Notification” bar down
  2. Tap “Settings” in the upper-right corner
  3. Access the “General” tab and scroll to “Phone management”
  4. Tap “Battery & power saving”
  5. Tap the power saving switch to “ON”
  6. Enable or disable the available battery saving options
  7. Lastly, you can select a battery percentage at which the Saving Mode enables automatically

Disable Smart Settings Unused At Home:

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Go to the “General” tab
  4. Scroll to “Smart functions” and tap “Smart settings”
  5. Slide the toggle “OFF”

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Battery & Power saving”
  4. Set the switch associated with “Game optimizer” to “OFF”

Disable Connectivity Features When Unused:

NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  2. Open “Settings” and access the “Networks” tab
  3. Scroll to “Connectivity”
  4. Tap “Tethering” > “Mobile Hotspot”
  5. Set the Tethering toggle “OFF”
  6. Return to “Settings”
  7. Tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches “OFF”
  8. Go to the “General” tab and scroll to “Personal”
  9. Tap “Location” (GPS)” > “Mode”
  10. Select “Battery saving (networks only)”

Temporarily Switch to 2G Connectivity:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G connectivity.

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “Networks” tab and scroll to “Connectivity”
  3. Tap “More” > “Mobile networks”
  4. Tap “Network mode” > “GSM only”

Lower Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Open “Settings” and access the “Display” tab
  2. Scroll to “Basic Settings” and tap “Brightness”
  3. Drag the “Brightness” slider to the left to decrease screen brightness
  4. Tap “Screen timeout”
  5. Select a lower timeout value, such as “15 seconds”

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third party apps can affect battery life even when not in use, due to the fact that some applications perform regular background processes. Thus, by disabling or removing unused third party apps you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Drag the “Notification” bar down on the home screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Access the “General” tab
  4. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Apps”
  5. Access the “Downloaded” tab
  6. Tap and hold the desired application
  7. To turn off the app, tap “Disable” / “Force stop”
  8. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall”

Disable Background Data:

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Tap “Settings” and go to the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
  4. Enable “Restrict background data” > “OK”

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your accounts / apps to sync less data, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts & sync”
  4. Disable “Auto-sync data”
  5. Under “Accounts”, select an application to change the available sync settings
