Turn On Battery Saving Mode:
- On the home screen, swipe the Notification bar down
- Tap Settings in the upper-right corner
- Access the General tab and scroll to Phone management
- Tap Battery & power saving
- Tap the power saving switch to ON
- Enable or disable the available battery saving options
- Lastly, you can select a battery percentage at which the Saving Mode enables automatically
Disable Smart Settings Unused At Home:
- Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
- Launch Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Smart functions and tap Smart settings
- Slide the toggle OFF
Adjust Video Quality in Games:
- Open Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Battery & Power saving
- Set the switch associated with Game optimizer to OFF
Disable Connectivity Features When Unused:
NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
- Open Settings and access the Networks tab
- Scroll to Connectivity
- Tap Tethering > Mobile Hotspot
- Set the Tethering toggle OFF
- Return to Settings
- Tap the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switches OFF
- Go to the General tab and scroll to Personal
- Tap Location (GPS) > Mode
- Select Battery saving (networks only)
Temporarily Switch to 2G Connectivity:
NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you dont have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G connectivity.
- Go to Settings
- Access the Networks tab and scroll to Connectivity
- Tap More > Mobile networks
- Tap Network mode > GSM only
Lower Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Open Settings and access the Display tab
- Scroll to Basic Settings and tap Brightness
- Drag the Brightness slider to the left to decrease screen brightness
- Tap Screen timeout
- Select a lower timeout value, such as 15 seconds
Minimize Third Party App Usage:
NOTE: Certain third party apps can affect battery life even when not in use, due to the fact that some applications perform regular background processes. Thus, by disabling or removing unused third party apps you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Drag the Notification bar down on the home screen
- Tap Settings
- Access the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Apps
- Access the Downloaded tab
- Tap and hold the desired application
- To turn off the app, tap Disable / Force stop
- To remove the app from the phone, tap Uninstall
Disable Background Data:
- Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
- Tap Settings and go to the Networks tab
- Tap Mobile data > Menu
- Enable Restrict background data > OK
Change Sync Settings:
NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your accounts / apps to sync less data, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Go to Settings
- Access the General tab
- Scroll to Personal and tap Accounts & sync
- Disable Auto-sync data
- Under Accounts, select an application to change the available sync settings
