Turn On Device Lock:
- On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
- Access “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Display”
- Tap “Lock screen”
- Tap “Select lock screen” and choose an available lock screen option
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete the setup
Change Device Lock Password:
- Open “Settings” and tap “Display”
- Tap “Lock screen” > “Select lock screen”
- Tap “Password” and enter the new password
- Tap “Continue” and enter the password again for confirmation
- Tap “OK”
Change Device PIN Lock:
- On the home screen, swipe the “Notification” bar down
- Launch “Settings”
- Tap “Display” > “Lock Screen”
- Tap “Select screen lock” > “PIN”
- Enter the new PIN and tap “Continue”
- Enter the PIN again for confirmation and tap “OK”
Disable the Lock Screen:
- Go to “Settings”
- Tap “Display”
- Tap “Lock screen” > “Select screen lock”
- Choose “None”
- If necessary, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup and turn off the lock screen
Enable / Disable Emergency Alerts:
- Tap “Messaging” on the home screen
- Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
- Scroll to “Advanced settings” and tap “More”
- Tap “Emergency alerts”
- Enable or disable “Imminent severe alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and / or “AMBER alerts”
NOTE: Presidential alerts are enabled by default and cannot be turned off.
