Back Up Application Data:
- On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
- Tap the “Settings” icon in the upper right corner
- Access “General” and tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data”
Back Up Contacts on an LG Account:
- Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
- Go to “Settings”
- Tap “General” > “Backup & reset”
- Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
- Tap “Back up data” and when prompted, select “LG Cloud” and sign in with your “LG Account”
- Turn on “Personal data” and deselect the other options
- Expand the “Personal data” directory and select “Contacts”
- Tap “Start”, and press “Done” at the “Back up completed” pop-up
Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:
- Go to “Settings”
- Tap “General” > “Backup & reset”
- Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
- Tap “Back up data” and enable “SD Card”
- Select the items you want to back up and tap “Start”
- At the “Backup completed” prompt, tap “Done”
Back Up Media Files Using Your Phone:
- On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
- Launch “Settings” and access “General”
- Tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup”
- Tap “Backup & restore”
- Enable “Media data” and disable all the other non-media options
- Tap “Start” to begin the sync
- At the “Backup completed” prompt, tap “Done”
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the LG Stylo 2 to your computer via USB
- At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media files on your phone and copy them
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on your computer
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB
