How-to: LG Phoenix 2: Manage Device Lock & Emergency Alerts Settings

Enable Device Lock:

1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
2. Open “Settings”
3. If necessary, tap “Menu” > “List view”
4. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Lock screen”
5. Tap “Select screen lock” and choose a screen lock option
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to set a lock screen option

Change Lock Screen Settings:

1. Open “Settings”
2. If necessary, tap “Menu” and switch to “List view”
3. Under “Device”, tap “Lock screen”
4. Tap “Select screen lock” and select a screen lock option such as PIN / password etc.
5. Tap “Continue” and confirm your password / PIN
6. Tap “Continue” > “OK”

Disable Device Lock:

1. Open “Settings”
2. Under “Device”, tap “Lock screen”
3. Select “None”
4. Enter your current PIN / password / pattern to confirm and proceed

Enable / Disable Emergency Alerts:

1. Open the apps drawer
2. Launch “Messaging”
3. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
4. Access “General Settings”
5. Under “Other”, tap “Emergency alerts”
6. Clear or tick the check boxes next to “AMBER alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and “Imminent severe alerts”

NOTE: Presidential alerts are enabled by default and cannot be disabled.
