Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the LG X5 to your computer via USB
  2. At the prompt, turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate and copy the desired audio files on the PC, then transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and / or “Notifications” folders
  5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Change the Phone’s General Ringtone:

  1. From the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Scroll to and tap “Sound & Notification”
  4. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the device’s on-board memory or the SIM card.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”

Change the Notification Alert:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to, and tap “Sound & notification”
  3. Tap “More”
  4. Access “Notification sound” and select the desired notification sound to use
  5. Tap “OK” to apply the changes
