Enable or Disable Emergency Alerts:

  1. On the home screen, tap “Messaging”
  2. Tap “Menu”
  3. Go to “Settings” > “Advanced settings”
  4. Tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
  5. Enable or disable “Imminent severe alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and / or “AMBER alerts”

NOTE: Presidential alerts are enabled by default and cannot be disabled.

Enable Device Lock:

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Scroll to and tap “Display”
  4. Tap “Lock screen” > “Select lock screen”
  5. Select the lock screen option you want to set
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to set the desired lock screen option

Change Device Lock PIN:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap “Display” > “Lock Screen”
  3. Tap “Select screen lock”
  4. Choose “PIN” and enter the new PIN
  5. Tap “Continue” and enter the PIN again for confirmation
  6. Tap “OK”

Change Device Lock Passwords:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Tap “Display” > “Lock screen”
  3. Tap “select lock screen” and choose “Password”
  4. Enter the new password and tap “Continue”
  5. Enter the password again to confirm
  6. Tap “OK”

Disable The Lock Screen:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap “Display” > “Lock screen”
  3. Tap “Select screen lock” and choose “None”
  4. Enter your current password / PIN / pattern to confirm
