Restore App Data:

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Switch to the “General” tab if necessary
  4. Tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
  6. Tap the backup file you want to restore
  7. Tap “Start”
  8. At the “Restored” prompt, tap “Done”

NOTE: You may have to restart the device to complete the process.

Restore Contacts from an SD Card Backup:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Locate and tap the SD card backup you wish to restore
  6. Tap “Start”, and when prompted with “Restored”, tap “Done”

NOTE: You may need to reboot your phone to complete the restore.

Restore Media Files Using Your Phone:

  1. Access “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & Reset” > “Restore from backup”
  4. Locate and select the media backup files you want to restore
  5. Tap “Start”
  6. At the “Restore completed” prompt, tap “Restart”

Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the LG X Mach to your computer through the USB connector
  2. At the prompt, enable “Media sync (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise turn the option On from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Locate the media files, or the “.sbf” backup file you want to restore and copy them
  5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the folder(s) they originate from
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
