Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Battery & Power saving”
  4. Enable the Battery Saving mode
  5. Enable or disable the available power saving options
  6. Lastly, you can select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access “General” and scroll to “Phone Management”
  3. Tap “Battery & Power saving”
  4. Enable “Game optimizer”

Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Smart functions”
  4. Tap “Smart settings”
  5. Set the option to “OFF”

Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Display” tab
  3. Tap “Brightness” under “Basic settings”
  4. Swipe the brightness slider to the left to decrease luminosity
  5. Tap “Screen timeout”
  6. Select a lower value, such as “15 seconds”

Disable Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By turning off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Hotspot while unused, you can conserve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Access the “Networks” tab
  4. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “Tethering”
  5. Set the “Mobile data” toggle to “OFF”
  6. Go back to “Settings” and set the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches to OFF
  7. Under “Personal”, tap “Location” (GPS)
  8. Tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving (networks only)”

Switch to 2G Connectivity:

NOTE: if your phone runs low on battery and you want to conserve battery life until the next recharge, you can do so by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Networks” tab
  3. Under “Connectivity”, tap “More” > “Mobile networks”
  4. Tap “Network mode” and select “GSM only”

Disable Background Data:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data”
  4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Restrict background data”
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third party applications perform regular background processes, and thus they can affect battery life even when they are not in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps from your phone, you might improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Apps”
  4. Go to “Downloaded”
  5. Tap and hold the desired application
  6. Tap “Disable” or “Force stop” to turn off the app
  7. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall”

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your apps and accounts to reduce sync, you can increase battery life in the long run.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Under “Personal”, tap “Accounts & Sync”
  4. Disable “Auto-sync data” if necessary
  5. Under “Accounts”, select an account / app to change its sync settings
