Back Up App Data:
- Open “Settings”
- Access the “General” tab
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data”
Back Up Contacts:
- Open “Settings”
- Access the “General” tab
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
- Tap “Back up data” and make sure “LG Cloud” is enabled
- If prompted, log in with your LG Account
- Select “Personal data” and deselect all the other options
- Expand the “Personal data” option and make sure “Contacts” is enabled
- Tap “Start” to begin the backup
- Once the backup is complete, tap “Done”
Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:
- Open “Settings”
- From the “General” tab, tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
- Tap “Back up data” and enable “SD Card”
- Select the items you want to back up and tap “Start”
- After the process is complete, tap “Done”
Back Up Media Files on the Phone:
- Launch “Settings”
- From the “General” tab, tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap “LG Backup”
- Tap “Backup & restore”
- Select “Media data” and deselect the non-media options
- Expand the “Media data” folder and select the media files you want to back up
- Tap “Start” and wait for the process to complete
- Tap “Done”
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the LG V20 to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media sync (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the desired media files, or “.sbf” backup files on the phone storage
- Copy the desired files and transfer them in your backup location on the computer
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
