Back Up Application Data:
- On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
- Go to “Settings”
- Access the “General” tab and tap “Backup & reset”
- Enable “Back up my data”
Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:
- Open “Settings”
- Access the “General” tab
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Go to “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
- Tap “Back up data” and select “SD Card”
- Choose the contacts you want to back up and tap “Start”
- When prompted with “Backup completed”, tap “Done”
Back Up Contacts on an LG Account:
- Launch “Settings”
- If necessary, go to the “General” tab
- Tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup”
- Tap “Backup & restore” > “Back up data”
- Tap “LG Cloud”
- Sign in with your LG account
- Turn on “Personal data” and disable all the other options
- Expand the “Personal data” directory and ensure “Contacts” is checked
- Tap “Start” and when prompted with “Backup completed”, tap “Done”
Back Up Media Files on Your Phone:
- Open “Settings”
- Tap “Backup & reset” in the “General” tab
- Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & Restore”
- Turn on “Media data” and disable the option
- Tap “Start”
- At the “Backup completed” prompt, tap “Done”
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the LG X Max to your computer via USB
- Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- On the computer, launch the File Explorer and locate the media files on the phone
- Copy the media files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray
- You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
