it's easier to just e-mail them. Simply attach the mid file to an e-mail. Send to [email protected] and send. The message will show up on your phone as a pic message. Save the sound file. Then from there you can set it as a ringtone. Make sure the file is under 30k.

Using vzwpix.com is the most user-friendly way to get midis on your phone.

    1. go to http://www.vzwpix.com
    2. go to "CREATE" near the top of the page
    3. add your phone # (including area code) to the "Recipients" box. (your phone # should look like this: 8884140732)
    4. By now you should've already saved a ringtone. If not, do it NOW!!! Ok, to the left, click on new slide "from PC." Next click on "with audio."
    5. Click browse, find the Midi tone, and click "add".
    6. The page should refresh with a music note in the middle.
    7. Finally click send & you should get a message on your phone.
    8. Go the Pix Message Inbox, open the new message, select Options--> Save Sound. Give it a name, press OK, and it will be in My Media on your phone. Set it as your Caller ID.
Get the most out of your phone.

verizon recently put a stop to sending ring tones to your phone via email or vzwpix. they lowered the kb cap on vzw pix and now edit any incoming mails from pop3 servers and such. the best way is by far using the data cabler and bitpim, its super easy and a friendly program to use

    MY METHOD
I don't know if its easier or what, but its what I do

    1. Go to www.verizonwirless.com
    2. Click on "send a picture message"
    3. The first time you will have to register, if you have verizon and a picture phone, then you can register. It takes about 5 - 10 minutes.
    4. Upload a small jpg picture (you only have to do this the first time too). Every other time you can use the same picture you allready uploaded
    5. Choose to send this picture
    6. Attach a music file (this will be your midi)
    7. Type in your cell #
    8. Click send.

PS. If you do this, make sure you get the unlimited pix & txt package from verizon, trust me its worth it.
