Linux

Does anyone here use Linux? And if so what version?

I have a dual boot with Windows XP with Ubuntu Linux using GRUB. I love Linux but because I have a modem which doens't have any drivers for Linux most of the time I have to use Windows XP.

Im messing with a few low end linux distros on an old 486 laptop i got my hands on, you'd be surprised how good some distros run on such a low end machine, But then again it is linux

Fedora 3 for me ...though thinking of going over to Solaris Unix. Tried other distros like Knoppix and SUSE but settled for FC3.

Dual booting on the same HDD with Linux and Windows only causes problems because Windows gets all pissy cause Linux is getting all the attention!

Anyway, lol, i'v updated to FC4 now, and btw i have Linux flyin away on a HDD of its own!

Re: Linux

For modem drivers.. you have limited choice on Linux compared to WinXP. These lowcost modems donot offer any support for Linux.
