Hey,
I just install Mandrivia 2006 on my other box and having difficulty connecting it to the internet. I want to connect to the internet using network card connecting to my router.
I'm new to linux and would like some of an assistance in getting online.
If you are a guru at linux and could be of a assistance it would be much a appreciated.
Regards,
tuannie

Is it an adsl router? Does the line broadband line go straight into it? If it does you need to set your network card to get and ip by DHCP, not set a static one.
Are you on Gnome or KDE?Last edited by Mark; 07-11-2006 at 05:58 PM.

I am using a cable modem, the cable modem connects to my linksys router and from the linksys router it connects to the Mandrivia via a ethernet.
