Re: Export Contacts from Outlook and Import to Motorola Droid (Android 2.0)

Okay, I think that I may have found the answer. I stumbled across a Beta program called "Go Contact Sync". I was not happy with doing the merge using .csv The reason is that my contacts change all the time since I am in real estate. Go Contact Sync will sync between Outlook and your Gmail account at whatever intervals you tell it to. You can also dictate which direction you want it to go. Check it out at:

Let me know what you think.

Worked like a charm. Verizon couldn't get my Crap-Berry to give up its contacts... Thanks.. would have taken 7 years to manually add them.

Re: Export Contacts from Outlook and Import to Motorola Droid (Android 2.0)

My mom's Outlook contacts file is huge. I tried to create the CSV and import to Gmail, but it gave me a "too large" message.

    Any other ideas?

is there a way to do this directly from the Droid to Outlook and not via gmail? i don't use gmail.

the Droid has an option to "sync contacts" but when i do it i get duplicates on my PC.

Re: Export Contacts from Outlook and Import to Motorola Droid (Android 2.0)

Re: Export Contacts from Outlook and Import to Motorola Droid (Android 2.0)

If you are using outlook 2010, try steps below.
    1. On your PC, go to the contacts piece of Outlook, export your contact as Comma Separated Values (Windows). Select the Contacts entry from the "Select folder to export from" list.
Finally, name and find a location to save the exported file to, and click Finish.

    2. Log into your Gmail account on the PC where you exported your contacts. In the Gmail window, choose Contacts. Import Contacts CSV file you save before.

    3. Now, all you have to do is run the sync on your mobile device. Each phone will handle this differently, but more than likely, all you need do is wait a moment and the device should auto-sync the new contacts.
