    General question about the phone.

I owned a Motorola about 2 years ago and one of the things that drove me crazy was the battery low alert. No matter what you did if the battery was low, the phone saw it DIRE that you know about it by alerting you with a beep (if on loud), or a vibration (if on vibrate). Only way to stop it was to charge it or turn the sound off (Then you would inevitably miss phone calls). Is this phone the same?

Sorry, I'm not usually one to care about minor details but this was one thing that just drove me crazy!

I'll let you know about this as soon as the battery starts to go dead again, it might take another day cause the battery is pretty good

Thanks! Hope you're enjoying it. I'm still debating on getting one. Either this or the Blackberry Storm2. I like Blackberry but this Droid is tempting!

my friend was having a similar problem with a Motorola he bought around 2007; he found it likewise rather irritating as well. he found a simple way to "reset" the warning (so as to prevent it from beeping incessantly) was to pop the battery out and back in again; though i'm not sure what model you have - it may not permit you to do that...

Oh I no longer have that phone, I have a Blackberry now. But if I was going to buy the Droid I wouldn't want to deal with that again. Good idea though, I'll keep this in mind in the future if I ever go back to Motorola.

Well, It's a Verizon Wireless device which have additional built in features what are customizable.

The DROID is supposed to be its own phone and not damaged by Verizon, but I'd assume it still have the feature to turn off Battery Alert or change the frequency of the alert.

This is the only indication that I received - I'm going to guess that a similar alert will display when it gets to 5% and < 1%

There's another feature that I initially didn't see. When the phone is plugged in there is a small status light next to the plug that comes on. When the phone is charged, this light turns off.

I haven't gotten a notification since the above, but the light in the upper right is blinking red.
