Transferring contacts to your new Droid from you Mac is actually quite easy.

First, follow the directions here to sync you Mac with Gmail (contacts and calendar)
    Google Sync Services

    • On your Droid make sure you have connected your Gmail account
    • Go to contacts > Menu > Accounts
    • Select your Gmail account > Menu > Sync Now
    • Your new contacts will be imported - Any duplicates should be merged.

Re: Transfer contacts/calendar from your Mac to Motorola Droid

Android is a wide-open system, but wide-open can be more complicated than narrow. There are many kinds of Android devices, and at least three major computer operating systems. Some phones try to make syncing simple, by automatically prompting you to choose what kind of files you're trying to send; sometimes it works, and sometimes such steps make the process even more confusing.
In my years of using Android, I've narrowed down the pain I'm willing to endure to transfer files to and from Android. Here are the best tools, in a short list, that I recommend for transferring music, photos, and files between Motorola Droid and Mac.
