It can't be done, so stop asking. A CDMA phone cannot run on a GSM network. If you want the Droid to work on AT&T/T-mobile, you'll have to wait for the GSM version (the Milestone) to come to the US.

I want to unlock the Droid to work on Sprint's network. How can I do that? The radio is compatible. Has anyone successfully unlocked a CDMA Android 2.0 phone?

Not that I can find. Even if you did find a way for it to work on Sprint's network, which would require rooting the phone, and building a ROM for it, Sprint would still have to allow it to be activated on their network.

It sounds like people are getting close to root access from what I have read elsewhere. Someone building a ROM will be a big step. As for Sprint allowing it on there network, they now have an automated website for doing ESN swaps on accounts. They don't even ask what type of phone it is.

They don't need to ask what phone it is.

The ESN/MEID number will tell them immediately and that is when you get rejected.
